The Shelby County Museum garners support in four different ways - individual and family memberships, business memberships, donations and volunteers. Each individual chooses to support our museum differently, but each way of support enhances our ability to share the unique history of Shelby County with others. If you are a supporter of the Shelby County Historical Museum we would like to thank you for your dedication to our organization. We are where we are today because of you!
MEMBERSHIP The Shelby County Historical Society was founded in 1965 and since then membership has been a valuable aspect of our organization. Our members make up the backbone of the historical society. Members vote for and serve on our Board of Directors, support the conservation of Shelby County history and have unlimited access to research in our Genealogy Research Center.
BUSINESS MEMBERS The Shelby County Historical Museum is honored to pair with other businesses within our community to continue to bring Shelby County history to people everywhere. With the support of our business members we are able to continue to grow our outreach and help create a positive community for people to visit.
DONATE As a non-profit organization the Shelby County Historical Museum relies on the donations of our patrons and community members. There are multiple different ways in which someone can donate to the Shelby County Historical Museum. The first way is by making a monthly financial donation, legacy giving or by donating an item with ties to Shelby County to the museum.
VOLUNTEER Volunteers help the Shelby County Historical Museum by taking on projects which benefit the museum as a whole.
