Digitizing Your Photographs
Digitizing your photographs is a fantastic way to preserve photos for future generations to see as well as preserve the original copies. Digital photos can be shared widely with friends and family without ever having to touch the original copy. Plus, digitizing your collection is easy to do! All you need is a scanner, a computer, and time.
There are many ways to scan photos. Smartphones have apps that can scan high quality images or there are also self feeding scanners and flat bed scanners available for purchase. It is up to you what you choose. Self feeding scanners can be more efficient, however they can cause damage to fragile images. Flatbed scanners take longer, but offer high quality scans. However, if you don't have a scanner, your smart phone or tablet will do the trick.
